Conceptual guide to Google’s FinOps Hub

The issue: Google wanted to introduce customers to the new Cloud Billing FinOps Hub.

The dream team: A collaborative group of interaction designers, product managers, and UX researchers.

My role: Technical writer. I created the conceptual guide to teach users about how to access and use FinOps Hub features.

The process: I refined a content-focused CUJ based on findings from the UX research team. I worked closely with the product team and software engineers to understand how the FinOps Hub worked, what various Hub features did, and how customers were expected to use the tool.

The end result: I recommended UI text and wrote conceptual documentation that explains various FinOps Hub features and how to best use them to optimize Cloud spending.
